because I'm lazy overworked

I have all these things I want to write about, but no time. So instead I'll take the lazy way out and follow the Tuesday This-or-That with the infamous Friday Five:

1. What was the last song you heard? Deep Forest, "Soul Elevator"
2. What were the last two movies you saw? Blues in the Night and Going Places (on TCM)
3. What were the last three things you purchased? Mm, good question. Wait, I know. Cleanser, moisturiser and aloe gel.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? 1. Mainly work on the newest Kodocha, 2. do some additional work on a proposal I have under consideration, ah, somewhere, 3. finish reinstalling software on the both computers, 4. figure out what I'm making for my sister-in-law's luau next weekend.
5. Who are the last five people you talked to? Evan, Christine, Keith, Chris, and either Elizabeth or Mikki. And I think all of those conversations were business and personal. See how I multi-task?

Comments

1. What was the last song you heard? Downtown Train as sung by Everything but the Girl.
2. What were the last two movie syou saw? Daredevil (crap!) and Catch Me if you Can (great!)
3. What were the last three things you purchased? Comic books (Battle Angel Alita: Last Order, X Static, and Punisher - we're counting this lot as one choice), bread, and orange-stuff cleaner.
4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? A) Get through this ridiculous shoot we're PAs on right now. B) Try not to strangle anyone on this ridiculous shoot we're on right now. C) Try not to get sick during the fourteen hour days of this ridiculous shoot we're on. D) Remind ourselves never to get involved with ridiculous shoots ever, ever again.
5. Who were the last five people you talked to? Real people, or the idiots involved with this cinematic fiasco?

Number 1 happened two minutes ago. Number 2 happened 2 weeks and 2 months ago (respectively). Number 3 happened about two weeks ago. And numbers 4 and 5 are an ongoing source of pain and suffering. Will be going on for another two weeks. Yippee!

I'll play again. These answers apply to the weekend just passed.

1. What was the last song you heard? "Corazon de Melon" by Rosemary Clooney and Perez Prado.
2. What were the last two movie syou saw? "The Cat In The Hat" and ""Silent Running".
3. What were the last three things you purchased? A wrapped LP copy of "Pulling Rabbits From A Hat" by Sparks, "Out Of Our Idiot" by Elvis Costello, and breakfast.
4. What four things did I need to do this weekend? Ink my Roadrunner story (details on request), do laundry, get an Access manual, go see Gas Huffer and Dead Moon at the Tractor.
5. Who were the last five people you talked to? I'm at work, so I'm talking to coworkers.

this is probably too late to be of any use anyway, but with the luau planning, what did you have in mind? how authentic does it need to be?

as for the friday five, well...er, it's *almost* friday...^^;;;

1.)What was the last song you heard? "Bonnie & Clyde. (Herbert's Fred & Ginger mix)" Serge Gainsbourg & Brigitte Bardot.

2.)What were the last two movies you saw? ooh, this is difficult. A Clockwork Orange (had seen most of it in pieces before, but had never seen the whole thing in one go before), and...hrrm, haven't watched many movies in awhile. probably Jim Jarmusch's Night On Earth---recently acquired it on a never-opened laserdisc. ^-^

3.)What were the last three things you purchased? the newest issue of Mini Magazine, some hand moisturiser (have dreadfully dry hands; work in a library!), and a dozen bagels.

4.)What four things do you need to do this weekend? a) make cookies for my co-conspirator's grandmother. b) go to band practice. c) call the Village Hall and pester them about business forms. d) make pumpkin soup!

5.)Who are the last five people you talked to? if you mean "communicated with in general," Tin, Fiona, Jae Young, Katelynne, and Amy. if you mean "used vocal cords to communicate with," Brendan, Amy, Rob, Nancy, Joe. four out of five were work-related, or at least at work. XD

Thanks for playing, everyone! I think these things can be pretty interesting (although I'm scared by those 300-question things I see people filling out on their blogs sometimes. I don't even want to read them, much less answer one!)

janaki - see luau notes in new post; also, if you post the pumpkin soup recipe on your blog, let us know! I've been accumulating pumpkin soup recipes but haven't actually tried one yet.
